There are more than 500 registered lobbyists in Michigan, and most are not attorneys. Warner is rare in that all of our lobbyists are licensed attorneys. We deal with client issues with the highest code of conduct – we are ethically required to do so or risk losing our licenses. If the slightest appearance of a conflict exists, we need to request a waiver. A multi-client government affairs shop that knows your deepest secrets can literally show up on both sides of an issue – we will never do that. We have also been specifically trained to deal with the laws under which our industry must practice. Consequently, we can speak more persuasively to their practical impact when helping to shape them. In my view, that’s priceless to a client.

An experienced lobbyist and policy analyst, Monique has more than 20 years of experience in government affairs – including policy strategy and development, analysis and drafting of legislation, state procurement and other advocacy initiatives. Industries such as renewable energy, transportation, professional sports, higher education, economic development and state procurement rely upon the quality of her connections to cut through red tape and help shape the laws that govern their businesses. Monique provides access and legislative entree at the highest levels of Michigan state government.
