I grew up working in my parents’ hardware store in rural Michigan, where I learned customer service is about more than completing a transaction — it’s about helping folks achieve a goal. In that hardware store, my parents first trained me that using technical knowledge to best solve a problem first requires careful listening and thoughtful questioning. After all, a customer’s immediate request rarely revealed the end goal. Those experiences drive my approach to the practice of law. When a matter comes in, I listen and ask questions to understand the client’s broader objectives so that I can serve as a strategic partner and deliver advice that truly moves them forward.

Josh Eggert is a Warner attorney who focuses his practice on restructuring and insolvency matters and corporate law.
