Warner Norcross + Judd LLP has welcomed nine new attorneys to the firm.
Ayan Ajeen, Brett M. Bozof, Joshua C. Eggert, John-Weston Franke, Caryn Hannapel, Samuel D. Hauke, Katrin B. Kelley, Lauren N. Moine and Valerie I. Uduji have been admitted to the State Bar of Michigan. They are gaining experience in a variety of legal matters before selecting a practice group.
Bozof, Franke, Hauke and Kelley are based in Warner’s Grand Rapids office. Ajeen, Moine and Uduji are based in the firm’s Detroit office. Eggert is based in the Midland office. Hannapel is based in Warner’s Kalamazoo office.
Ajeen received her law degree magna cum laude from Michigan State University College of Law. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree with honors in media and journalism and in public relations from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Prior to joining Warner, she worked as a law clerk and legal research assistant at law firms in southeast Michigan.
Bozof received his law degree from MSU College of Law. He holds a Master of Accountancy and a bachelor’s degree in accounting and finance from the University of Tennessee. Before joining Warner, he worked as an auditor and a senior associate at accounting firms in Tennessee. For nearly a decade, he served as director of administration and compliance at TAG Resources LLC. He is a certified public accountant and is a member of the Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants.
Eggert received his law degree magna cum laude from MSU College of Law, where he served as executive editor of the Michigan State Law Review. He holds a master’s degree in business administration from Northwood University and a bachelor’s degree in business administration summa cum laude from Saginaw Valley State University. Prior to joining Warner, he was a law clerk at First National Bank of America. He also worked as a supply chain professional for four years and served in the Marine Corps for seven years.
Franke received his law degree summa cum laude from MSU College of Law. He holds a bachelor’s degree summa cum laude in business administration from Ferris State University. Before joining Warner, he was a judicial intern for Michigan Supreme Court Justice Elizabeth M. Welch. He previously worked as a labor relations and human resources professional for the Michigan Civil Service Commission, serving the Department of Transportation, Disability Management Office and Michigan State Police.
Hannapel received her law degree from Washington and Lee University School of Law. She holds a bachelor’s degree magna cum laude in economics and political science from Kalamazoo College. Before joining Warner, she worked as a legal intern and extern at law firms in Kalamazoo.
Hauke received his law degree cum laude from Indiana University Maurer School of Law. He holds a bachelor’s degree in public affairs with high distinction from Indiana University. Before joining Warner, he was a legal intern at Athletico Physical Therapy in Illinois and a pro bono letter writer and researcher at Incarcerated Individuals Legal Assistance Project. He previously served as a legal assistant at a law firm in Indiana.
Kelley received her law degree summa cum laude from MSU College of Law where she was editor-in-chief of the Michigan State Law Review Flagship Journal. She holds a bachelor’s degree summa cum laude in political science from Hope College. Before joining Warner, Kelley externed for Chief Judge Hala Y. Jarbou in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Michigan and for Judge David W. McKeague, U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit. She also interned in the Muskegon County Public Defender’s Office. Her native language is German, and she is fluent in Italian.
Moine received her law degree cum laude from Wayne State University Law School where she was Order of the Coif. She holds a bachelor’s degree cum laude in political science and criminal justice from Grand Valley State University. Before joining Warner, she worked as a legal extern at an automotive supplier in Farmington Hills and a law clerk for Lakeshore Legal Aid in Detroit. Currently, she serves on the board of directors for the Michigan Youth Education Fund.
Uduji received her law degree cum laude from MSU College of Law. She holds a degree in anthropology and foreign affairs from the University of Virginia. She interned with Justice Kyra Bolden in the Michigan Supreme Court and with Judge Darlene O’Brien in the Washtenaw County Trial Court in Ann Arbor. She also served as a legal assistant at a law firm in Washington, D.C. before joining the firm.
