Kelly R. Hollingsworth, a partner with the law firm Warner Norcross + Judd LLP, has been honored by Michigan Lawyers Weekly as one of its “Up and Coming Lawyers” for 2023.
Hollingsworth is recognized in the annual edition that acknowledges the best of Michigan’s up-and-coming attorneys. To be selected for the honor, Michigan Lawyers Weekly looks for lawyers who, in their first 10 or fewer years of practice, have excelled in the profession and are standouts among their peers. Along with 21 others, Hollingsworth will be honored during an awards luncheon April 21 in Detroit.
Her nomination read in part: “Kelly is passionate about solving uncommon business challenges and moving an idea from conception to implementation. She has proven herself to be a great “up and coming” lawyer through her work with a key health care client, representing the business in its technology-related transactions and procurement agreements, as well as assisting several public companies with their technology, data privacy and e-commerce initiatives.”
Hollingsworth concentrates her practice in technology and data privacy. Based in Warner’s Grand Rapids office, she guides both technology users and creators through procurement, commercial contracting and implementation. On the privacy and security fronts, she helps global clients across a variety of industries protect and utilize their own data and that of their customers in compliance with continuously evolving data privacy regulations.
She is the chair of the firm’s Engagement Committee and co-chair of the Cybersecurity and Privacy Practice Group. She is also a member of the Grand Rapids Bar Association and the State Bar of Michigan.
Hollingsworth also serves on the board of local nonprofit The StoreHouse and volunteers with several other West Michigan nonprofit organizations.
She holds a bachelor’s degree from Michigan State University and a law degree from Northwestern Pritzker School of Law cum laude.
