The Motor and Equipment Manufacturers Association HR Council has invited Warner Norcross + Judd attorneys Sarah Bileti and Madelaine Lane to present at its May 1 meeting held at its Southfield Conference Center.
Bileti and Lane will co-present “Legal Insights: Immigration Update and How HR Can Prepare for Workplace Raids.” Immigration and Customs Enforcement and other federal agencies have been intensifying their enforcement actions and workplace raids. Knowing how to respond in the moment can be critical in helping protect your organization and the rights of those who work for you. This conversation will offer strategies to help businesses in the event of an unannounced visit.
Bileti is an experienced immigration attorney, specializing in domestic and international employment-based immigration matters that span employee work authorization, corporate restructuring challenges and Form I-9 compliance.
Lane a litigator who co-chairs the firm’s White Collar Criminal Defense Practice Group. She regularly helps clients respond to search warrants and subpoenas, not just as suspects, but also as third-party witnesses or victims.
