Corewell Health's 2025 Behavioral Health Symposium is an annual opportunity to gain knowledge and expert insight on current behavioral health topics, including LGBTQIA+ health care, mental health, addiction, TMS treatment, EMDR, geriatrics and more. The one-day hybrid conference is designed for health care professionals and those who support the industry.

Madelaine Lane, partner at law firm Warner Norcross + Judd LLP, and Colleen Lane MD, medical director of addiction medicine at Corewell Health, will jointly present “Marijuana for Mental Health: The Use Case and Legal Pitfalls” to explore the medicinal and legal benefits and risks associated with marijuana use. With the understanding that marijuana remains illegal in all places and for all purposes under federal law, Lane will dive deeper into the cannabis legal environment in Michigan.

At Warner, Lane is a member of the firm’s Cannabis Industry Group. She also serves as co-chair of the firm’s White Collar Criminal Defense Practice Group, its Data Analytics and eDiscovery Practice Group and co-directs the firm’s eDiscovery Center. She has led some of the state’s largest criminal and civil discovery matters by leveraging the latest technology and tools to locate and parse through responsive documents efficiently.
