I’m a dedicated lawyer with more than 30 years’ experience advising clients in a thorough, straightforward manner. I listen to my clients and strive to complete all projects on a timely basis. I lay out the steps involved in the process to complete the work they’ve retained me for and routinely give clients updates from the beginning of the project through its completion. I strictly adhere to the ethical requirement to maintain client confidences and secrets, which is especially important given that many of my family business clients are in smaller communities.

With four decades of legal experience, Greg Demers focuses on trusts and estates, family business succession planning and business and corporate services. He always strives to provide tailored solutions to meet his clients’ needs in a cordial and understanding manner. Greg’s knack for making each person feel like they are his only client serves as the hallmark of his practice. He builds strong relationships with those he represents and takes pleasure in learning about their businesses, backgrounds, families and interests.

I recently represented several clients across Michigan selling their family-owned businesses to third parties, ranging from key employees and competitors to private equity firms. One of Michigan’s most recognizable family business owners recently commented, “I wanted to tell you how much I appreciate you and your team at WNJ. I call, you answer! I call, you answer with a calm voice that helps me keep my composure … so thank you.”
