Alex Jansen is an associate in Warner's Litigation Practice Group. Her practice focuses on civil litigation, white-collar criminal defense, and government investigations.

Before joining Warner, Alex served as an Assistant U.S. Attorney in the Western District of Michigan, where she investigated and prosecuted a wide range of federal criminal matters, including controlled substance offenses, violent crimes, theft and fraud-related cases. She has courtroom experience handling hearings, motions, and jury trials in federal court.

Alex also has experience with complex civil litigation, internal investigations and e-discovery matters, as well as pro bono work involving estate planning, child custody and other legal issues affecting underserved communities.

Earlier in her career, she supported fraud investigations and prosecutions involving financial institutions, health care, securities and government programs, working alongside federal agencies and prosecutors on complex matters across the country.

Alex earned her J.D., magna cum laude, from the University of Michigan Law School, where she served as managing editor of the Michigan Journal of International Law and participated in numerous advocacy, clinical and leadership programs. She received her bachelor's degree, cum laude, from American University.
