Mary is an experienced and highly accomplished intellectual property attorney. Previously a vice president for a Fortune 500 company and president of a law firm, Mary has a deep understanding and passion for businesses. Against the backdrop of her extensive executive experience, Mary appreciates the importance of assessing and valuing the role of intellectual property as a corporate asset. She thrives on developing deep, meaningful relationships with clients so that she can discern not only a client’s intellectual property goals, but also how those goals translate into the client’s broader business strategy. 
Astutely keyed in on business issues that impact intellectual property, Mary advises companies and institutions on many aspects of intellectual property, including licensing, strategy, portfolio management and due diligence in business transactions. Mary has extensive experience in the clearance, protection and enforcement involving trademarks, trade dress, trade secrets, copyrights and domain names. This experience spans the globe, which allows her to tap into specialized intellectual property counsel in countries all over the world to ensure clients’ intellectual property is protected anywhere and everywhere. Mary uses a creative approach to promoting innovations in an ever-changing marketplace and provides intellectual property advocacy in a highly responsive and accessible way. Mary counsels clients in the consumer products, food and beverage, health and higher education industries, among many others.
