Members of Warner’s Automotive Industry Group will host a moderated panel discussion offering practical legal insights and case studies for EV and battery supply chain stakeholders seeking to capitalize on U.S. market opportunities while managing risk.
Moderated by Thomas Manganello, co-chair of Warner’s Automotive Industry Group, the panel includes:
Sarah Bileti, chair of Warner’s Immigration Practice Group, will discuss immigration and talent strategies for technical expansion, including U.S. visa options for engineers, R&D specialists and manufacturing leads (TN, L-1, H-1B and O-1). She will also cover how to structure mobility plans to support EV design, battery R&D and advanced manufacturing, with a focus on legal strategies for entering the U.S. market and relocating key personnel with minimal disruption.
Daniel Bonucchi, who co-chairs the firm’s Mergers and Acquisitions Practice Group, will lead the conversation on cross-border trade, tariff mitigation and structuring for EV and battery supply chains. Bonucchi will address tariff engineering, USMCA planning and free-trade zones. He’ll also discuss entity structuring, joint venture agreements and strategic contracting and provide an overview of available EV incentives and funding sources.
Randy Peck, a patent and transactional intellectual property attorney, will share insights on supporting innovation and market access in battery and EV technology. He will cover legal frameworks for AI, machine learning and smart manufacturing and discuss cross-border tech transfer, R&D collaboration and commercialization agreements, with attention to IP protection and licensing for new battery chemistries, EV control systems and digital twin technologies.
