Warner to Offer Daylong Human Resources Seminar

The law firm of Warner Norcross & Judd LLP will offer its popular human resources and benefits seminar on Monday, April 20 in Grand Rapids.

The annual seminar will focus on “Strategy, Risk Management and Best Practices for Benefits and HR Professionals.”  More than 20 Warner Norcross attorneys focused on employee benefits, labor, employment law and litigation will offer sessions on a wide range of topics during the seminar at the Amway Grand Plaza Hotel.

The seminar will be offered in two parts, and attendees are welcome to register for either a half or full day.  The morning session, which begins at 8 a.m., will focus on employee benefits.  It will kick off with a legislative update on the Affordable Care Act and current trends and issues affecting 401(k) plans from Warner Norcross partners Tony Kolenic and Norbert Kugele.

The afternoon session will begin at 12:45 p.m. with a panel discussion on the latest legal updates and examples of best practices in labor and employment. The panel discussion will feature a conversational format that allows attendees to ask answers and better focus on their areas of specific interest.

This year, the seminar will feature 15 breakout sessions that will cover a variety of topics and encompass timely issues. The sessions are:

  • Keeping your Wellness Program Healthy (and Legal)
  • Retirement Plan Panel Discussion
