Kelly R. Hollingsworth and Mandice McAllister Selected as 40 Under 40 Business Leaders by Crain’s Grand Rapids Business

Kelly R. Hollingsworth, a partner at Warner Norcross + Judd LLP, and Mandice McAllister, the law firm’s diversity, equity + inclusion manager, have been selected for the 2023 class of 40 Under 40 business leaders by Crain’s Grand Rapids Business.

Hollingsworth, McAllister and 38 other West Michigan leaders younger than 40 will be recognized for their business and community leadership during an awards program Oct. 18. Since 1991, Crain's City Brands have gathered 40 of the community's overachievers for a special salute. Past winners have started companies, climbed the corporate ranks and made nonprofits stronger while giving back to the community and mentoring others.

Hollingsworth is based in the firm’s Grand Rapids office and concentrates her practice in technology and data privacy. She counsels technology users and creators through procurement, commercial contracting and implementation. She also helps global clients across a variety of industries protect and utilize their own data and that of their customers in compliance with continuously evolving data privacy regulations.

Earlier this year, Hollingsworth was recognized as an Up and Coming Lawyer by Michigan Lawyers Weekly and as a Rising Star by Super Lawyers Magazine. She is chair of Warner’s Engagement Committee and co-chair of the Cybersecurity and Privacy Practice Group. She is a member of the Grand Rapids Bar Association and State Bar of Michigan.

Hollingsworth serves on the board of local nonprofit The StoreHouse of Community Resources and the Grand Rapids Bar Association’s DEI committee as well as volunteers with several West Michigan nonprofits.

McAllister provides strategic leadership for Warner’s internal and external DEI-related programs and processes, including the firm’s DEI Action Committee and Warner’s involvement as a 2023-24 Mansfield™ participant on track for certification in 2024. The goal of Mansfield is to increase inclusivity and diversity in law firm leadership by broadening who is considered for influential leadership committees, roles and opportunities. McAllister also serves as co-chair of Mosaic, an employee resource group for Black, Indigenous and people of color at Warner.

Warner’s DEI Action Committee implements specific goals to create sustainable systems and processes that promote diversity, equity, inclusion and access to opportunity. The firm publishes a Diversity, Equity + Inclusion Annual Report to create transparency and accountability for its work in this area.

McAllister was recognized as a Diversity Business Leader by Corp! Magazine in 2022. She serves on the board of the Comprehensive Therapy Center and volunteers with the National Black MBA Association Inc. Greater Michigan Chapter and Family Promise of West Michigan.
