Hosted By: Thomson Reuters Legal

Even prior to the pandemic, bankruptcy as a practice was beginning to see an uptick in demand and an increase in complexity. Now, as the impacts of COVID-19 continue to ripple through Michigan’s economy, the impact on bankruptcy practices may be more pronounced than ever.

Join our expert panel, including two leading Michigan bankruptcy attorneys and Practical Law Director of Bankruptcy, as they discuss industry trends and challenges surfacing in Michigan, along with their advice for the legal industry addressing these same issues.

Panelists include:

Jon Lauderbach, Partner, Warner
Jon founded Warner’s Midland Office following his tenure as Circuit Judge for Midland County, Michigan where he presided over more than 150 jury and non-jury trials. Now, Jon brings that experience and perspective to bear representing public and privately held companies in commercial and bankruptcy litigation matters in courts throughout the country.

Rick Walawender, Principal & Corporate Group Co-Leader, Miller Canfield
Rick co-leads the Corporate group at Miller Canfield, a global law firm headquartered in Detroit. His practice specialties include mergers and acquisitions, corporate and commercial law, and corporate governance and securities, among others.
