Warner Welcomes Nine New Associates

Warner Norcross + Judd LLP recently welcomed nine new attorneys to the firm.

Katherine G. Boothroyd, Juliette Collins, Abigail Coté, Brandon Cross, Danica Hosaka, Alan F. Jurcak, Charles C. Kadado, Christian D. Rhoades and Mark Zuccaro have been admitted to the State Bar of Michigan. They are gaining experience in a variety of legal matters before selecting a practice group.

Collins, Coté, Cross, Hosaka, Rhoades and Zuccaro are based in the firm’s Grand Rapids office. Boothroyd is based in Warner’s Midland office, Kadado is based in the Detroit office and Jurcak is based in the Macomb County office.

Boothroyd received her law degree from the University of Michigan Law School, where she was the articles editor of the Michigan Journal of International Law. She holds a bachelor’s degree in European languages (French, Spanish and Italian) and a master’s degree in translations and interpreting (French and Spanish), both from the University of Salford in the United Kingdom. Boothroyd also holds a master’s degree in interpretation from the Institut de Traducteurs, d’Interprètes et de Relations Internationales in Strasbourg, France. She previously served as a judicial clerk for the Hon. David F. Viviano of the Michigan Supreme Court and a judicial intern for the Hon. Thomas L. Ludington of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan.

Collins received her law degree from University of Michigan Law School. She holds a bachelor’s degree summa cum laude from Hope College in psychology and philosophy. She worked as a student attorney for the Veterans Legal Clinic in Ann Arbor.

Coté received her law degree summa cum laude from Michigan State University College of Law, where she was associate editor of the Michigan State University International Law Review. She holds a bachelor’s degree summa cum laude from Cornerstone University in child development and intervention. Coté previously served as a law clerk for the state of Michigan Office of Legal Counsel, Legal Services of South Central Michigan and Legal Aid of Western Michigan. She also completed a legal externship with The Nature Conservancy.

Cross received his law degree summa cum laude from MSU College of Law, where he was editor-in-chief of the Michigan State Law Review. He holds a bachelor’s degree cum laude from Lake Superior State University in accounting and an associate’s degree with high distinction from North Central Michigan College. Cross had internships with the Kent County Office of the Defender and Muskegon County Public Defenders.

Hosaka received her law degree cum laude from Notre Dame Law School, where she was managing articles editor for the Journal of Legislation. She holds a bachelor’s degree magna cum laude from the University of Southern California in psychology. She was a legal intern with the Chicago Transit Authority and completed externships with Notre Dame Athletics and the Hon. Judge Steven L. Hostetler of the St. Joseph Superior Court in South Bend, Indiana.

Jurcak received his law degree cum laude from MSU College of Law, where he was senior associate editor of the International Law Review. He holds bachelor’s degrees from MSU in international relations and Mandarin. He completed a legal internship with HROne in Shanghai, China.

Kadado received his law degree cum laude from Wayne State University Law School, where he was assistant editor and voting senior note and comment editor of the Wayne Law Review. He holds a bachelor’s degree magna cum laude from Wayne State University in broadcast journalism. He served as a special prosecutions intern with the Wayne County Prosecutor’s Office and a judicial intern to the Hon. Terrence G. Berg of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan.

Rhoades received his law degree summa cum laude from MSU College of Law, where he was the staff and notes editor of the Michigan State Law Review. He holds a bachelor’s degree magna cum laude from Hope College in economics and business. He served as a judicial intern for the Hon. David W. McKeague for the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit and as a judicial extern for the Hon. Clinton Canady III for the Ingham County 30th Judicial Circuit Court. He also interned with the U.S. House of Representatives.

Zuccaro received his law degree summa cum laude from MSU College of Law, where he served as an associate editor of the Michigan State Law Review. He holds a bachelor’s degree from MSU in political science. He served as a law clerk for the Hon. Robert H. Cleland for the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan and as an investigative intern with the Social Security Administration’s Office of the Inspector General in Grand Rapids.
