Warner Welcomes Catherine H. Jacobs

Warner LLP has welcomed Catherine H. Jacobs to the firm as senior counsel.

Jacobs joins the Trusts and Estates Practice Group, bringing with her seven years of experience in providing comprehensive estate and succession planning for individuals, families and businesses. Her experience with elder law allows her to help families secure long-term care benefits for loved ones and assist individuals with special needs or disabilities. She will be based in the firm’s Grand Rapids office.

Jacobs joins the firm from Cottrell & Jacobs PLC, a Grand Rapids law firm she co-founded in 2011.

Active professionally and in the community, she is a trustee for Ada Township, where she also serves on the Planning Commission. Jacobs is on the boards of Elder Law of Michigan and Senior Neighbors Grand Rapids, where she co-chairs the annual fundraising drive. She serves as board secretary for the Council on Aging and on the steering committee of Caregiver Resource Network. She recently began her tenure on the board of the Forest Hills Community Foundation.

Jacobs is also a member of the State Bar of Michigan and the National Association of Elder Law Attorneys. She speaks regularly on estate planning, special needs planning, elder law and related topics throughout the region.
