Warner Represents Air Lift Company in Its Acquisition of Universal Air Suspension

Warner Norcross + Judd LLP represented Lansing-based Air Lift Co. in its acquisition of Universal Air Suspension.

American-owned and operated since 1949, Air Lift manufactures air suspension products for the automotive aftermarket. Its solutions include load-support systems for towing and hauling and performance suspension products for automotive enthusiasts.

Based in San Bernardino, Calif., Universal Air Suspension has produced patented air suspension products for the custom car, off-road and performance vehicle markets for more than 30 years, including air bags, air management systems, tanks, valves, compressors and custom-engineered suspension systems.

The acquisition brings together two established leaders in air suspension technology, expanding innovation and product development capabilities. Both have a network of dealers, distributors and customers globally.

“There are many synergies between Universal Air and Air Lift across our traditional load-support line and our performance lines,” Air Lift CFO Krista DeJonge said. “We are excited about the opportunities that lie ahead as we begin the integration of UAS into the Air Lift family.”

The Warner legal team was led by Joscelyn Cekola Boucher and included Allyson Terpsma, Cody A. Mott and Early L. Stephens.
