DeAndre’ Harris, a partner with Warner Norcross + Judd LLP, has been named a Fellow of the American Bar Foundation.
The American Bar Foundation is a global honorary society of attorneys, judges, law faculty and legal scholars whose public and private careers have demonstrated outstanding dedication to the highest principles of the legal profession and to the welfare of their communities. Harris was nominated by peers and elected by the ABF board.
Fellows are limited to 1% of licensed lawyers in a jurisdiction. Established in 1955, Fellows support the research of the ABF through annual contributions and sponsor seminars and events of direct relevance to the legal profession.
Harris practices in Warner’s Grand Rapids office and focuses on labor and employment law, advising employers across numerous industries, litigating labor and employment disputes and conducting internal investigations.
He is a member of the American Bar Association, State Bar of Michigan and Grand Rapids Bar Association, where he serves as a trustee. He also serves on the board for Boys and Girls Clubs of Grand Rapids. He is a member of the Grand Rapids Area Chamber of Commerce Leadership Grand Rapids Class of 2023 and was a member of the Chamber’s Emerging Leaders 2019 cohort.
Harris has been named to the Best Lawyers ®: Ones to Watch list for labor and employment law management since 2021 and was selected for the Lawyers of Color’s 2022 Hot List.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from Western Michigan University and a law degree magna cum laude from Michigan State University College of Law.
