Allyson Terpsma, a partner with the law firm Warner Norcross + Judd LLP, is being honored by Home Repair Services of Kent County, a prominent nonprofit organization, as a recipient of the Abe DeVries Volunteer Award.
Terpsma will receive the award at the 2024 Resourceful Homeowner Celebration on March 7, 2024, taking place at the Frederik Meijer Gardens and Sculpture Park. The award was established in 2018 and named after Abe DeVries, a longstanding volunteer and board member. Recipients are recognized for their deep commitment to making a positive impact in the community.

Terpsma focuses her practice on labor and employment counsel for employers across a variety of industries, including higher education and health care. She guides clients through difficult employee situations and advises them on civil rights laws, disability and leave issues, wage and hour compliance and labor relations. Terpsma provides human resources and supervisor training, and conducts internal investigations, provides contractual services and defends clients before state and federal government agencies.
Terpsma has been included in Michigan Lawyers Weekly’s “Up and Coming Lawyers” list and Best Lawyers® “Ones to Watch” list for labor and employment law – management. She is a member of the American Bar Association and the State Bar of Michigan.
Terpsma holds a bachelor’s degree magna cum laude in English and economics from Dartmouth College and a law degree cum laude from University of Michigan Law School.
