Warner Norcross & Judd LLP has welcomed five new attorneys to the law firm.
The new attorneys have all been admitted to the State Bar of Michigan. They are:
- DeAndre’ Harris, who received his law degree from the Michigan State University College of Law magna cum laude. Harris also holds a bachelor’s of arts in political science and criminal justice from Western Michigan University. He held internships with the 9th Judicial Circuit Court in Kalamazoo and the Michigan House of Representatives.
- Warda Ashraf Kalim, who received her master of laws degree from the MSU College of Law. She also holds double bachelor’s degrees in laws and commerce and a graduate diploma in legal practice from University of Wollongong in New South Wales, Australia. Kalim is also licensed to practice in Australia. Prior to joining Warner Norcross, she worked for CAIR-Michigan as staff attorney and Safe Spaces coordinator and counsel. She also held an internship with RMB Lawyers and worked for Hansons Lawyers in New South Wales.
- John C. Muhs, who received his law degree from the University of Michigan Law School cum laude where he was an associate editor of Michigan Law Review. He also holds a bachelor’s degree in mathematics and ancient and medieval history from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Muhs previously served as a judicial intern with the Hon. Laurie J. Michelson of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan and a legal research assistant for the Mobility Transformation Center in Ann Arbor, where he analyzed legal issues related to autonomous and connected vehicles.
- Ryan Richter, who received his law degree from Wayne State University Law School magna cum laude where he was Order of the Coif and managing editor for Wayne Law Review. He also holds a bachelor’s degree in exercise science and political science magna cum laude from Hope College. Richter has held internships with the Hon. Helene N. White of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit and the Hon. Robert H. Cleland of the U.S. District Court of the Eastern District of Michigan.
- Clint W. Westbrook, who received his law degree summa cum laude from the MSU College of Law where he was an associate editor for Michigan State Law Review. He also holds a bachelor’s degree in philosophy, politics and French magna cum laude from Hillsdale College. Westbrook held an internship with International Justice Mission in Washington, D.C. He served as an English teacher in Salon-de-Provence, France before starting law school. He has also done social service projects in Tajikistan, Kenya and Guatemala.
Harris, Kalim, Richter and Westbrook will practice in the firm’s Grand Rapids office; Muhs will practice in the firm’s Southfield office.
