Michigan Lawyers Weekly has honored Amanda M. Fielder, a partner with the law firm Warner Norcross + Judd LLP, as one of its “Up & Coming Lawyers” for 2015.
Fielder is recognized in the annual edition that acknowledges the best of Michigan’s young attorneys. To be selected for the honor, Michigan Lawyers Weekly looks for lawyers in their first 10 years in practice who meet the following criteria: established name and reputation; displayed ambition, determination, and drive; going above and beyond the call of duty; and accomplishments that set them apart from their peers.
“She doesn’t view her work as a ‘job,’ but rather as ‘what I was meant to do,’” her nomination in part said. “She is a champion for her clients, our firm and our community.”
Fielder concentrates her practice in litigation, with emphasis on employment. She has successfully defended employers against claims of discrimination, harassment, retaliation and wrongful discharge, as well as other statutory, contract and tort-related employment claims.
Active professionally and in the community, Fielder is a member of the Gerald R. Ford American Inn of Court and the Association for Human Resource Management. She served as the Michigan Council of the Society for Human Resource Management 2015 Conference Education Committee chair. She is a member of Inforum and is a 2015 graduate of the Leadership West Michigan program.
Fielder is recognized as a Rising Star by Michigan Super Lawyers.
She holds a bachelor’s degree summa cum laude from Western Michigan University and a doctor of jurisprudence magna cum laude from the Michigan State University College of Law.
