EEOC Updates COVID-19 Rules

Warner Employment News From the Law Shanty is back! Steve Palazzolo brings us a special COVID-19 video about the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission’s (EEOC) updates to its Technical Assistance Guidance. The updates impact Question A6 regarding whether or not employers can issue mandatory screening measures to administer COVID-19 viral tests to employees. Steve offers helpful insight into the EEOC’s position and how employers can remain compliant with the guidelines set forth by the EEOC and Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Although the EEOC may be dialing back some of the restrictions that were put in place during the apex of the COVID-19 pandemic, there are still certain requirements employers must follow when determining if and when employees can be present at the workplace.
