Join Turnaround Management Association – West Michigan for the first session of its annual panel series on Jan. 28, 2026. Insolvency Thunderdome: Three Workouts Enter, One Emerges Victorious brings together experienced restructuring professionals to compare bankruptcy, receivership and Article 9 sales as tools for addressing financial distress.
Panelists will examine each approach through key considerations including speed, cost, control and impact on stakeholders, drawing on real-world case experience to highlight when each strategy is most effective. This discussion will provide practical guidance for lenders, advisors and professionals working with distressed businesses, offering clear insight into how to evaluate and select the appropriate restructuring path.
Liz Von Eitzen, a partner in Warner’s Kalamazoo office, will participate as a panelist. The Insolvency Thunderdome agenda describes Liz as “a vigorous advocate, [who] specializes in creditors’ rights cases and bankruptcy matters (representing corporate debtors, chapter 7 trustees and creditors). With a highly regarded national practice and substantial experience in retail, restaurant and agricultural bankruptcy matters, she’s well-versed in the law, purposeful in her preparation and resolute in court.”
Von Eitzen has held many roles within TMA – West Michigan including serving as chapter president in 2020. She focuses her legal practice on restructuring matters, bankruptcy proceedings and creditors’ rights litigation.
