Justin Horvath is the President and Chief Executive Officer of the Shiawassee Economic Development Partnership (SEDP), the economic development organization serving Shiawassee County, Michigan. He has been with the SEDP for over 16 years, and works to attract, retain and expand contributory businesses and jobs in the county, with a current focus on talent development. Justin has been an active member of MEDA since early in his career, including completing the Practitioners Training Certification Program, 2017 Medalist of the Year recipient, Business Retention & Expansion instructor for the Basic Course, and service on the MEDA Board (including a leadership role as Treasurer for 2018). He is also a member and Certified Economic Developer (CEcD) through the International Economic Development Council. Justin received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics, Master of Arts degree in Applied Economics, and a Master of Public Policy degree, all from the University of Michigan.
 

Steve Palazzolo counsels clients on employee issues, policy development, NLRB, ADA, FMLA, FLSA and international labor relations. His services extend to acquisitions, immigration, employee benefits, campaign finance, employment litigation and civil rights. Steve represents numerous organizations in the automotive supply industry, agriculture, finance, food processing, hospitality, manufacturing, marketing and service industries, ranging from start-ups to large Fortune 500 clients. He advises clients in the Midwest, United States, Asia, Europe and South and Central America. Steve is a frequent speaker for industry organizations, including the Original Equipment Suppliers Association, the Society for Human Resource Management and the Association of Corporate Counsel. Steve brings valuable expertise to his practice through his unique work history. Prior to law school, he was a shop floor supervisor in both union and non-union food processing plants. He spent 11 years as in-house counsel in labor and employment law and oversaw the HR department for a multi-billion-dollar multinational corporation with extensive manufacturing operations.
 

As part of the Accident Fund team for more than 15 years, Troy Mounsey currently serves as divisional director of Business Development overseeing workers’ compensation production and agency partnerships for Michigan and large account operations. Prior to joining Accident Fund, Troy’s 30-year career in insurance began as a commercial multi-line underwriter. He has also held management positions in the Midwest for marketing and premium development for the states of Indiana, Illinois, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Missouri and Iowa. 

Troy graduated from Taylor University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Math/Systems. He has also earned a Master of Business Administration degree from Butler University and several designations, including: Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU), Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) and the Certified Authority in Workers’ Compensation (CAWC).
