The State Bar of Michigan Health Law Section is hosting the webinar “Corporate Practice of Medicine in Michigan: Legal Framework and Practical Implications.” The conversation will explore the legal restrictions on corporate ownership and control of medical practices in Michigan, examine permitted business structures and management arrangements and address key compliance considerations for health care organizations, investors and physicians.
Jeff Segal, a Warner partner and co-chair of the firm’s Health Care Industry Group, will participate on the panel. The discussion is designed to offer a concise overview of Michigan’s corporate practice of medicine doctrine, focusing on ownership and employment restrictions, compliant MSO and services agreement structures, key compliance risks and practical strategies for structuring physician practice arrangements under Michigan law.
