Warner Norcross + Judd LLP attorneys Carly Zagaroli and Jason Byrne will present “Advancing Your AI Strategy for Risk Management” during the Annual Professional Development Day hosted by the RIMS Detroit Chapter at Comerica Park in Detroit. The program will examine the evolving intersection of artificial intelligence and insurance, focusing on identifying emerging risks and evaluating available coverage options.

Alongside Jesus Gonzalez, intangible assets global collaboration co-leader at Aon, Byrne and Zagaroli will explore key AI-related exposures facing organizations, including data privacy concerns, intellectual property risks, cybersecurity threats and liability arising from AI-driven decision-making. They will also address how traditional insurance policies respond to these risks, highlight potential coverage gaps and outline what policyholders can expect as insurers continue to refine AI-related underwriting and exclusions.

Zagaroli and Byrne will provide practical guidance on mitigating AI-related risks, including strategies for evaluating existing coverage, preparing for underwriting scrutiny and implementing enterprise risk management frameworks tailored to AI use. The discussion is designed to help organizations better understand how to proactively manage AI exposures in a rapidly changing legal and insurance landscape.

Zagaroli is a partner at Warner with experience advising clients on complex insurance coverage matters and risk management strategies. Byrne, also a partner, counsels clients on insurance recovery and coverage disputes, helping organizations navigate evolving risks and maximize available protections.
