International Trademark Association’s 2023 Annual Meeting Live+ connected the most influential brand professionals from across the globe and industries at the largest gathering of its kind. The event took advantage of Singapore’s vibrant innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem to connect an international network of IP professionals on a range of emerging issues. The event offered virtual sessions to further extend its reach and audience.
Warner Norcross + Judd LLP Partner Brian D. Wassom was invited by INTA’s Precedential Decisions Task Force to moderate a discussion on the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board’s role in deciding disputes over the registration of trademarks. The session, titled “Crowdsourcing TTAB Precedents: The U.S. Trademark Trial and Appeal Board’s Email Suggestion Box for Precedential Decisions,” examined how TTAB decisions are made and where more precedential decisions could be helpful.
