Warner’s Funds and Investment Industry Group Virtual Roundtable Series is back for 2026!
In today’s shifting regulatory landscape, many industries are experiencing rollbacks, relaxed enforcement priorities and changes in oversight. While a deregulatory environment may reduce certain burdens, it also creates uncertainty and new risks. Companies that scale back compliance too aggressively may be exposed to enforcement actions, reputational harm or operational disruption when regulations shift again.
Our first roundtable focused on practical strategies for staying compliant and resilient during periods of deregulation. This session was designed to be interactive.
Discussion topics included:
- Deregulation’s impact on advisers’ fiduciary and reputational risks.
- Practical strategies to stay exam-ready and prepared for uncertain and shifting regulatory cycles.
- When regulators step back, plaintiffs’ counsel often step in; how to minimize exposure in an environment of heightened litigation risk.
Chief compliance officers and those with equivalent responsibilities were invited to participate. To encourage open and candid discussion, we ask that roundtable conversations be treated confidentially.
Watch for future invitations to the following virtual noon-hour CCO Roundtable events:
- Wednesday, Sept. 16, 2026
