The American Bar Association’s Section of Environment, Energy, and Resources will gather at the intersection of history, innovation and natural wonder in Albuquerque, New Mexico for its 34th Annual Fall Conference. Ranging from critical updates on policy developments to hands-on strategies for addressing compliance and litigation challenges, the conference will offer road-tested guidance for a multitude of settings and situations. National leaders from across government, private practice, academia, nonprofit organizations and industry have been invited to share their unique perspectives.
Ashley Chrysler, a Warner partner, is moderating the panel “Super Size Me: Data Centers & Resource Mega-Consumption.” While data centers have been around for decades, the recent increase in size, type, and speed of buildout for new data centers has created opportunities and obstacles. The panel will focus on the developing legal issues associated with projected disclosures, utility cost allocation, and cultural and community impacts associated with data center growth.
Chrysler, who serves as chair of Warner’s Environmental Litigation Practice Group, focuses her practice on complex commercial litigation, environmental matters, and appeals. Her experience includes representing mining and renewable resource companies on a variety of commercial, zoning, and environmental issues.
With more than two dozen data center proposals on the table, including at least three major hyperscale centers, Michigan is proving itself as one of the nation’s most attractive data center markets. Warner attorneys are working with clients to navigate the challenges of bringing these projects to fruition.
