Air & Waste Management Association – West Michigan Chapter Spring Conference

Thursday, April 25, 2024
8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. ET

In-person Event:
Watermark Country Club
1600 Galbraith Ave. SW
Grand Rapids, MI 49546

The Air & Waste Management Association – West Michigan Chapter has invited Warner Norcross + Judd LLP Partner Kurt Kissling to speak at its Spring Conference at the Watermark Country Club in Grand Rapids. The event features leading professionals from government, industry, advocacy groups and the legal profession to discuss a range of issues impacting state and national environmental regulations.

Kissling’s presentation “We have a new PM2.5 NAAQS … Now what?” will focus on the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s recent announcement that it’s reducing the allowable amount of PM2.5 in the air. PM2.5 regulates fine particulate matter more commonly known as “soot.” The new standard is a significant reduction and represents the first tightening of the rules since 2012, but individual states will have several years to reach the new limits.

The event includes updates from the Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes and Energy division directors:

  • Annette Switzer, Air Quality Division
  • Liz Browne, Materials and Management Division
  • Mike Neller, Remediation and Redevelopment Division
  • Phil Argiroff, Water Resources Division

Warner is proud to be a sponsor of the April 25 event that begins at 8:00 a.m. and includes lunch and an afternoon happy hour.
