  • Of Counsel

In general, I function much like an outside general counsel to my clients, drawing on my corporate and general business law background and experience to assist them in addressing a wide range of their legal matters. In that role, I strive to serve as a problem solver for my clients by advising on current legal issues (particularly those keeping the client awake at night), and helping them strategize to avoid potential problems in the future. In doing so, I place the primary focus on client service, always working to provide them with prompt, efficient and expert legal advice. Even when it’s outside the corporate legal realm, clients will often still look to me for advice because they know I’ll bring in the proper expertise to deliver the right service and will closely oversee that work.

Jim Romzek’s practice focuses particularly on commercial transactions of all types, including business formations, mergers and acquisitions, real property transactions, general contract matters, and a wide range of other general business matters. Jim represents an array of clients throughout Michigan, across the country, and internationally with regard to U.S. based clients with a presence in such global markets as Canada, China, Australia, India, Germany and elsewhere. Jim counsels clients in many different types of industries and businesses, including automotive, various other general manufacturing businesses, telecommunications, real estate, distributors and dealers of many different types of products, various service providers, professional service firms, and general entrepreneurs of all types, among others.
