I’m drawn to technically complex disputes — the kinds of matters that require digging into how systems work, why failures occur and how complicated problems can be solved strategically and efficiently. Before becoming a lawyer, I worked as an engineer at Ford Motor Company supporting electric vehicle, battery and service-related initiatives, and that experience continues to shape the way I approach litigation today. I bring an analytical, detail-oriented and persistent mindset to every matter I handle, particularly those involving the automotive industry, emerging technologies, product warranty and recall issues and other engineering-driven disputes. I enjoy the puzzle-solving aspect of litigation and thrive when working through highly technical issues that require both legal and practical problem-solving.
Eboni White is an associate in Warner’s Detroit office. She focuses her practice on litigation and conflict resolution matters, particularly disputes involving the automotive industry, engineering-related issues and emerging technologies. Eboni works with clients across a range of industries to support litigation strategy, discovery, motion practice and regulatory analysis.
Prior to joining Warner, Eboni worked at Ford Motor Company in a series of engineering and technical roles supporting electric vehicle programs, service operations and battery systems. Her experience included analyzing battery-component failures, evaluating EV service and warranty programs, coordinating with suppliers and supporting cross-functional operational initiatives. She developed a strong interest in battery technology, EV infrastructure, energy systems and the evolving legal and business issues surrounding emerging technologies — experience that now gives her a unique perspective when handling technically sophisticated legal matters.
At Warner, Eboni has assisted with automotive warranty and recall matters and has supported litigation teams through legal research, motion drafting, discovery strategy and case analysis. She has prepared motions and supporting memoranda, drafted and responded to written discovery and assisted in organizing evidence and case materials for hearings and trial preparation. She has also worked on contract-related disputes involving breach of contract and business-tort claims.
Known for her thorough and persistent approach, Eboni approaches legal issues with the same analytical mindset she developed as an engineer. She enjoys breaking down complex systems, identifying the root causes of disputes and exploring creative strategies to help clients solve difficult problems efficiently and effectively.
Eboni’s decision to attend law school was driven in part by her interest in the intersection of law, technology and environmental policy. While in law school, she gained experience across litigation, regulatory and commercial matters. As a summer associate at Warner, she researched implied-in-fact requirements contracts under the Uniform Commercial Code, analyzed EPA regulations related to lithium-ion battery recycling and prepared oral-argument materials supporting a motion to dismiss.
Eboni also served as an extern with the Michigan Attorney General’s Office in the Environment, Natural Resources and Agriculture Division, where she researched and analyzed issues involving tribal sovereignty, environmental compliance and Michigan water-quality regulations.
Eboni earned her law degree from the University of Michigan Law School, where she served as president of the Education Policy and Law Society. She earned her Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering from Harvard University, where she also completed a minor in environmental science, energy and policy.
Eboni is fluent in Spanish and has remained active in volunteer and community initiatives, including serving as a New Leaders Council Institute fellow and tutoring students through Mac Lit, a literacy and math nonprofit program.
