From commercial and products liability disputes to arbitration and appellate matters, I focus on helping clients manage risk, develop practical litigation strategies and advocate effectively in high-stakes proceedings.
Alexandra Hathaway Tillman is an associate in Warner’s Litigation and Dispute Resolution Practice Group. Her practice focuses on commercial litigation, products liability matters and complex business disputes in state and federal courts. She represents corporate clients through all stages of litigation, including motion practice, discovery, depositions, arbitration proceedings and trial preparation. Her experience includes drafting dispositive motions, motions in limine, arbitration briefs and appellate briefing, as well as developing case management strategies in arbitration forums.
Previously, Alex served as a law clerk to the Honorable Sean F. Cox of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan, where she drafted opinions, bench memoranda and remarks. She also served as a legal intern with the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Virginia, with the U.S. Department of Justice, Money Laundering and Asset Recovery Section, and as a judicial intern to the Honorable Michael J. Riordan. Earlier in her career, Alex worked on the U.S. Senate Armed Services Committee, and then as a government contractor with Deloitte and Thomson Reuters Special Services, where she served military and intelligence community clients.
Alex earned her J.D., cum laude, from University of Richmond School of Law, where she served as Associate Symposium Editor of the University of Richmond Journal of Law and Technology and was selected as a Duke Law Center on Law, Ethics and National Security Scholar. She also earned an MSc in Media and Communications from the London School of Economics and Political Science and a B.A. in Political Theory and Constitutional Democracy from Michigan State University’s James Madison College, with a specialization in French.
