We helped our client to restructure business units to prepare for transfer of wealth, and to separate voting vs. nonvoting control.
Techniques used in this transfer included creating irrevocable grantor gift trusts to allow gift and sale transactions using defined value formulas.
Later, we assisted our client in conveying the operating business nonvoting units. In addition, we assisted client with ongoing planning for other trusts and provided income tax advice.
