Protecting Your Child's Inheritance While Giving Control


Did you know that you can protect your children's inheritance from failed marriages and other creditors while also allowing them to have control of the assets? A properly structured and administered lifelong trust that has teh child as the sole trustee and limits distributions to health, education, support and maintenance offers creditor protection and autonomy for the beneficiary.

  • Sara Eastman — Was selected to participate in the Great Lakes Bay Regional Alliance 2020 Institute for Leaders.
  • Mark Harder — Was re-appointed to the Business Planning Committee and the Practice Committee for the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel.
  • Catherine Jacobs — Was selected as a Board Member for the Western Michigan Better Business Bureau.
  • Laura Jeltema — Is a graduate of the Leadership Grand Rapids Class of 2020.
  • Nina Lucido — Is a graduate of the Leadership Macomb Class of 2020.
  • Sara Nicholson — Was re-elected to the Board of Directors of the YWCA Kalamazoo. She also assisted the First Congregational Church of Kalamazoo with the creation of the Children’s Nature Playscape.
  • Jennifer Remondino — Was elected as Chair of the Michigan West Coast Chamber of Commerce.
  • David Skidmore — Was elected Vice-Chair of the Probate & Estate Planning Council, the governing body of the Probate and Estate Planning Section of the State Bar of Michigan. He was also elected as Vice-Chair of the Broadway Grand Rapids Board of Directors.
