Webinar: Show Me the Money: EEO-1 Pay Data Reporting Requirements and Conducting Pay Equity Audits

Hosted By: Warner

Join Warner attorneys Lou Rabaut and Kelsey Dame in a one-hour complimentary webinar. They will be discussing the new EEO-1 compensation reporting requirements and how to effectively conduct a pay equity audit.

In an earlier email alert, we told you that the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) was ordered by a federal judge to begin collecting wage data from employers who file an EEO-1 form. By September 30, 2019, employers will be required to submit the wage data for both 2017 and 2018 in two parts:

Component 1 data must be submitted by May 31, 2019. It is not yet known when covered employers will be able to begin submitting Component 2 data, but it is possibly mid-July of 2019 with a final due date of September 30, 2019.

The EEOC’s stated reason for the collection of pay data is to better understand wage gaps and pay disparity in the workplace. This may lead to more legal claims that employers are discriminating in pay based on gender, race, national origin, etc. Accordingly, employers may wish to get ahead of this issue by conducting an internal pay equity audit. Accordingly, Kelsey and Lou will also be discussing the dos and don’ts of an internal audit.
