Warner Norcross + Judd LLP represented American Holoptics in its acquisition of EOTECH, a division of L3 Technologies, Inc. (NYSE: LHX), in a deal valued at approximately $42 million.
In 1994, EOTECH pioneered the core technology enabling holographic sights. In the 26 years since, the EOTECH name has become synonymous with advanced optical weapon sights for military, law enforcement and commercial applications.
Warner Partner David MacDonald led the transaction team which included Linda Paullin-Hebden, William Lentine, Mark Wassink and 20 additional Warner attorneys that advised American Holoptics on a range of legal matters related to the acquisition, including corporate law, tax law, employment law, intellectual property, securities and government defense regulation matters.
"This was a complex transaction involving multiple investment and lending groups," MacDonald said. "The America Holoptics team was committed to the deal, allowing for the transaction to be completed in a short time frame, which benefited all parties involved."
