Warner Partners Named to New Leadership Roles

Six partners with Warner Norcross & Judd LLP are taking new leadership roles within the law firm.

Linda Paullin-Hebden was named the executive partner for the firm’s Southfield office. Paullin-Hebden’s practice focuses on matters including mergers and acquisitions, venture capital, private equity and general corporate issues. She works as a securities compliance adviser to registered investment advisers and also counsels closely held corporations.

Five additional attorneys are assuming roles as chairs for practice groups, including:

  • Michael G. Brady, who was named chair of the firm’s Litigation and Dispute Resolution Practice Group. This practice group is comprised of litigators who work to tailor legal strategies to find the right solution for each client’s needs. The largest practice group in the firm, these 75 attorneys and paralegals have extensive experience in mediation, trial, arbitration and appellate work. Brady’s practice concentrates on representing clients in complex business litigation and class action cases. He is also co-chair of the firm’s Automotive Industry Group and regularly represents auto suppliers in contract negotiations, warranty disputes and antitrust proceedings.
  • Scott R. Carvo, who was named co-chair of the firm’s Data Solutions Practice Group. This group includes more than 25 attorneys, database and records experts, specialists and paralegals who assist businesses of all sizes with information governance. The team also assists in security breaches and litigation related to data matters. Carvo incorporates his general litigation practice experience into designing and managing cost-efficient large-scale discovery, principally in complex civil litigation and government investigations. His practice also focuses on commercial litigation, including matters of restrictive covenants, employment and tax litigation.
  • Rob M. Davies, who was named chair of the firm’s Commercial Finance Practice Group. This group’s attorneys work to help both lenders and borrowers by using their extensive knowledge of the Uniform Commercial Code, banking regulations and tax-exempt bond rules. Along with that, the firm serves as counsel to the Michigan Bankers Association and chairs the State Bar of Michigan’s Financial Institutions Committee. Davies concentrates his practice on serving as borrower and lender counsel in commercial finance transactions. He also assists clients with real property transactions.
  • Charlie Goode, who was named chair of the firm’s Business and Corporate Services Practice Group. The 60+ attorneys in this group continue to build on the firm’s founding as a corporate law firm. Their experience encompasses all areas of corporate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, reorganizations, hostile takeovers, antitrust, franchising and securities work. The attorneys also regularly advise on corporate finance, disclosure issues, corporate governance and executive compensation. Goode’s practice includes mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance, securities regulation, corporate governance, executive compensation and other corporate and regulatory matters.
  • James J. Rabaut, who was named chair of the firm’s Real Estate Services Practice Group. This is an interdisciplinary team of attorneys who work with complex real estate transactions, including condominiums, financing and capital, tax law and zoning. The firm’s expertise in real estate matters is widely recognized throughout the region; it also is a pioneer in the condominium form of ownership for non-traditional property, such as hospitals. Rabaut’s practice includes all area of real estate law, including commercial construction projects, economic incentives and business condominiums.
