Mark K. Harder, a partner with the law firm Warner Norcross + Judd LLP, has been named to the Program Committee of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel.
The Program Committee is responsible for planning the professional programs offered during the national meetings of ACTEC, a global organization of trust and estate lawyers and law professors in the U.S. and around the world. ACTEC’s peer-elected Fellows are at the top of their profession, committed to maintaining excellence in the trust and estate legal field and to continually improving the practice of trust and estate law.
Harder, who was elected an ACTEC Fellow in 2006, also serves on the ACTEC Business Planning Committee and Practice Committee.
Harder concentrates his practice on estate planning and business succession planning for high-net-worth individuals and families, with a particular emphasis on family-owned and closely held businesses. He chaired the committee that wrote the Michigan Trust Code, which he continues to update annually. The former chair of the firm’s Private Client and Family Office Industry Group and its Trusts and Estates Practice Group, Harder writes and presents regularly on a wide range of family business and succession planning topics.
