Two partners with Warner Norcross & Judd LLP are taking new leadership roles within the law firm.
Karen J. VanderWerff was named chair of the Labor and Employment Law Practice Group and Jennifer L. Remondino was appointed chair of Trusts and Estates Practice Group.
- VanderWerff concentrates her practice on employment and occupational health and safety law, counseling employers on employment and policy matters, compliance issues, employee misconduct and other issues. A former forensic scientist, she handles investigations into workplace catastrophes, fatalities, discrimination and harassment. The Labor and Employment Law practice group serves more than 800 employers and provides comprehensive employment relations and counsel. The group provides services to publicly traded and privately held companies, union and non-union workforces, hiring, promoting, supervising, disciplining and firing employees.
- Remondino focuses her practice on estate planning, tax planning, trust and estate administration, shareholder agreements, cottage planning and estate and gift tax audits. Remondino has held a leadership position at the firm since 2013 when she became executive partner at the Holland Office. She has been named to Best Lawyers in America and Michigan Super Lawyers. She serves on the boards of directors of Lakeshore Advantage Corporation, West Coast Chamber of Commerce and the Ottawa County Bar Association. The Trusts and Estates Law Practice Group assists families and business owners in sophisticated estate and tax planning, helping clients protect their assets and maximize their value.
