David J. Klippert, a partner with the law firm of Warner Norcross + Judd LLP, was named to the Bay Area Community Foundation board of trustees.
Klippert will serve on the board for a three-year term, which can be renewed. The Bay Area Community Foundation supports community improvement projects through effective grant making and collaboration in Bay and Arenac Counties. Since 1982, the Foundation’s assets have grown to more than $30 million – allowing them to invest more than $12 million in the community, including more than $1.4 million in scholarships.
A Bay City resident, Klippert concentrates his practice in business law with an emphasis on commercial transactions, representing numerous small businesses, manufacturing companies and professional services firms, including accounting and dental practices. He also focuses on estate planning and trust and estate administration.
In addition to his new role on the Bay Area Community Foundation board, Klippert currently serves on the boards of the Michigan Chamber of Commerce and Wenonah Park Properties, Inc. – Doubletree Hotel – Bay City and the community advisory board of the Junior League of Saginaw Valley (Community Advisory Board). He has also served on the boards of several other nonprofit organizations. Klippert is a graduate of Leadership Saginaw and also active in the Stevens Center for Family Business Planning at Saginaw Valley State University.
