Warner Names Three Attorneys as Partners

The law firm of Warner Norcross + Judd LLP today announced that three attorneys have been named partners.

The new partners practice in a variety of areas, from health law to intellectual property procurement to corporate compliance.  From their base in Grand Rapids, they serve clients across the state, throughout the country and around the world.

“Vito, Madelaine and Nate are a welcome addition to our partnership,” said Douglas A. Dozeman, managing partner of Warner.  “As associates, these exemplary lawyers distinguished themselves by providing excellent client service, demonstrating leadership and exhibiting outstanding knowledge of the law.  They will make valuable contributions to our ongoing success as our firm continues to grow.”

The new partners are:

  • Vito Ciaravino, whose practice focuses on patent matters including preparing and prosecuting U.S. and foreign patent applications in the mechanical and electrical arts.  He also counsels clients regarding infringement, validity, licensing, portfolio management and due diligence. Ciaravino earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan magna cum laude and his law degree from Michigan State University College of Law summa cum laude.
  • Madelaine C. Lane, who concentrates her practice on white-collar criminal defense, internal investigations and corporate compliance. She has been recognized annually since 2011 as a Michigan Super Lawyer Rising Star. She serves on the Criminal Justice Act Panel for the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Michigan and the board of directors for Grand Rapids Student Advancement Foundation. Lane received her bachelor’s degree cum laude from College of the Holy Cross and earned her law degree magna cum laude from Wayne State University Law School.
  • Nathan W. Steed, who focuses his practice on in technology and intellectual property law, health law and privacy and information security law. He regularly advises clients in connection with the acquisition of software, hardware and other technology. He serves on the Council for the Information Technology Law Section of the State Bar of Michigan.  Steed received his bachelor’s degree cum laude from Brigham Young University and his law degree from Indiana University cum laude.
