The LSAT Preparation Course Scholarship Program, now in its 13th year, provides scholarships, up to $1,500 each, to enable selected minority college students to participate in a study course to prepare them to take the LSAT. Studies have shown that students who take a formal LSAT prep course score higher on the test, which determines entrance into law school.
The Diversity Law School Scholarship and Diversity Paralegal and Legal Secretarial Scholarship, now in their 19th year, provide students financial assistance to offset the educational costs of earning a law or paralegal degree. These scholarships are administered and awarded by Grand Rapids Community Foundation.
New this year, Warner established the 1L Diversity Scholarship. This scholarship provides financial assistance to first-year minority law students who are in good standing and attending the University of Michigan Law School, Michigan State University Law School or Wayne State Law School. The firm awarded a $2,000 scholarship to a student at each law school.
Warner scholarships have been established to promote diversity in the legal profession. Warner has provided more than $205,000 in scholarship support since it began offering minority scholarships in 2001.
