Tamara M. Reeves Joins Warner

Tamara M. Reeves has joined the law firm of Warner Norcross + Judd LLP as an associate.

A litigator by training, Reeves joins Warner with experience in negotiating debt collection settlements and low income civil cases as well as prosecuting juvenile criminal cases and representing the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services in child protective proceedings. She will practice in the firm’s Grand Rapids office.
 
Prior to joining Warner, Reeves served as assistant prosecuting attorney for Kalamazoo County and for Cuyahoga County in Ohio. She brings a diverse professional background to the firm, including positions in Ohio, New Mexico and Detroit, as well as more than 13 years of litigation experience on a variety of matters.  
 
In 2003, Reeves served as a summer intern to the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan and worked with the Hon. Victoria Roberts. She also completed an externship at the Commission on Gender Equality in Johannesburg, South Africa while working on her law degree.
 
Reeves earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan and her doctor of juris prudence from the University of Michigan Law School, where she served as associate editor of The University of Michigan Journal of Race and Law.
 
A native of Detroit, she is in the process of moving to Grand Rapids.
