Privacy, Law and Ethics in Augmented Reality Panel at AWE 2015 [VIDEO]

As AR comes into its own, the legal and ethical issues that come with it can't be ignored.

On June 8, 2015, I had the honor of hosting a 50-minute panel discussion on these topics with Dave Griesbach (Security Expert, Google), Jerri Lynn Hogg (Professor, Fielding University), and Dave Lorenzini (Founder, CEO, EFX). Not only did these experts provide insightful commentary, but the audience of AR professionals was heavily engaged, resulting in a fun and thought-provoking conversation.

How will augmented reality shape the legal and ethical norms of our society? Will AR represent the death of privacy, or its rebirth? Where are the looming flashpoints for legal confrontations in the augmented space? Click here to watch the video of our discussion.

The AWE 2015 conference as a whole featured over 200 companies leading the charge in augmented and virtual reality, wearable tech and the internet of things. Nearly 3,000 tech professionals engaged in over 20+ workshops, 170+ AWE-inspiring talks, 200+ interactive demos including a VR experience powered by UploadVR. AWE is about giving superpowers to the people and making them better at anything they do in work and life.
