Join the second session in the National Contracting Management Association's (NCMA) three-part series for recent updates and practical considerations related to compliance with the Buy American Act and Trade Agreements Act. Warner attorney Adam Bruski will explore how and when these two laws require goods supplied by federal contractors to have been manufactured in the U.S. or other approved countries. After gaining an understanding of the applicable laws, we will talk about how we interpret and apply them in actual practice.
Items discussed will include: determining how the laws apply to items with components from multiple countries; how to seek official determinations and exceptions; what to consider in contract and subcontract discussions; and the interaction of these laws with export controls and other international business concerns.
Part 1 of this series gave an overview of international contracting considerations, and Part 3 will take a deep dive into /export control compliance. Attendance at first the session is not a prerequisite. Please feel free to register for just this one in this series or join us for all 3 sessions!
1.5 CPE/CLP credits offered for participation.
NCMA member registration price is $55.00.
