National Family Law Trial Institute is the preeminent intensive litigation skills course dedicated exclusively to family law in the U.S. Warner Norcross + Judd LLP Partner Ric Roane, who has nearly four decades of family law and domestic relations litigation experience, is returning for his third year to participate with the nationally renowned facility which includes top family law litigators, jurists and forensic experts from across the country for the week-long institute.
Stephen Kolodny, NFLTI’s founder, describes the Institute’s faculty as “some of the best family law trial lawyers in the country who are giving-back by training other lawyers to be the best they can be in a courtroom. We know that enhancing attorneys’ skills will make them better at overall representation of their clients. Making better lawyers is our goal.”
NFLTI, which had become commonly known as the Houston Family Law Trial Institute, is moving to Texas A&M University School of Law in Fort Worth for the first time in 2025. The program runs from May 17 – 24.
A frequent lecturer and author on family law topics throughout Michigan, across the U.S. and internationally, Roane summed up his participation in the NFLTI faculty saying: “I am thrilled and honored to serve with this incredible group of family law attorneys, judges and financial experts from all over the country as we teach young family law attorneys the intensive trial advocacy skills needed for successful case presentation at the highest level. This program is my favorite among all the continuing legal education programs I teach at throughout the year.”
