Kurt M. Brauer, a partner with the law firm Warner Norcross + Judd LLP, has been honored with the 2018 Mike Conboy award from the Michigan Economic Developers Association.
Since 1989, the Conboy award has been given annually to the MEDA member who has made substantial, long-term contributions to MEDA, specifically focusing on the advancement of the economic development profession through support of education and training and by expanding the knowledge base of economic developers. Brauer, who serves as co-chair of MEDA's advocacy committee, was awarded the honor at the organization's annual meeting dinner gala held today.
At Warner, Brauer counsels clients in economic development, environmental compliance and regulatory matters with an emphasis on brownfield redevelopment and business expansion incentive packages. He also assists clients in resolving complex real estate matters.
Brauer is consistently recognized in Best Lawyers in America, Michigan Super Lawyers and as a DBusiness Top Lawyer. He chairs the firm's Agribusiness and Food Industry Group.
