The Michigan Land Bank Association invited Warner partners Kurt Brauer and Rachel Foster to speak during its 2026 Leadership Summit in Battle Creek.
Brauer and Foster joined Patrick Ennis, general counsel for the State Land Bank Authority, for the breakout session, “Legal Loans & Such.” Moderated by Krista Trout-Edwards, executive director of the Calhoun County Land Bank, the discussion explored whether land banks may borrow money and the legal avenues available to them.
The MLBA Leadership Summit brings together land bank leaders for educational sessions, conversations and networking focused on the work land banks do in communities across Michigan.
