Jay Yelton talked with Douglas Levy at Michigan Lawyers Weekly for an article on "Mega data: Firms step up to maintain, advise on clients' info." As co-chair of the Warner Norcross Data Solutions group, Yelton characterized the firm's investment in a dedicated full-time practice, complete with a 4,500-square-foot-discovery center in Kalamazoo, as "one-stop shopping" for clients. "From a litigation standpoint . . . so much of the cost of litigation involves discovery," Yelton explained to MLW. "The risk associated with preserving that data and then collecting that data and reviewing that data and producing that data is certainly a pain point for organizations and it's only going to increase." Yelton said the group "also handles data security and privacy," two areas that are growing concerns for all businesses.
