International Trademark Association’s 2024 Annual Meeting connects the most influential brand professionals from across the globe and industries at the largest gathering of its kind. INTA’s 146th annual event draws 10,000 professionals together for robust conversations and the exchange of best practice on a wide range IP and emerging technology issues. The event also offers virtual sessions to further extend its global reach and audience.
Warner Norcross + Judd LLP partner Brian Wassom has been invited to moderate a table talk session titled “Trade Dress — The Secret Weapon in Your IP Toolbox.” For decades, courts took a narrow view of trade dress. According to Wassom, a more expanded view of trade dress is emerging that includes a product's overall appearance including features like design, shape, size, color, texture, graphics and even certain sales techniques all being considered. Wassom, who chairs the firm’s Emerging Media and Technologies Industry Group, will share best practices in identifying and protecting trade dress.
INTA’s five-day event runs May 18-22 and includes educational and professional development sessions, an innovation marketplace, city tours and numerous networking opportunities. For more event information and registration, please click here.
